From the initial design stage to the final construction, no detail is overlooked. Clients are carefully guided through each stage of the process and support is never more than a phone call away.

    Initial Inquiry

In order to START THE PROCESS fill out our inquiry form to help us better understand your proposed project. Once submitted, a member of our team will evaluate the project and contact you in due time.

   Evaluation of Request

No $ required

As a project management company, Custom Homes Building & Remodeling cannot provide quotes on every request. We will evaluate your inquiry and advise if we can take on your proposed project or if we have to regrettably decline due to location, budget, scope of work, ect.

  Discovery, Site Visit & Planning Budget

$400.00  required

At our first meeting, We’ll:
Learn what you like & don’t like about your current home. Understand your objectives, your requirements, and your preferences.
Discuss different design options.
obtain initial measurements.
Discuss your budget and the amount you’re comfortable investing in your home.
Obtain any information we may need so we can give you a detailed budget estimate

   Feasibility Study

No $ required

The feasibility study is created and presented in person. The feasibility study will give you a rough indication as to the cost of the proposed project as discussed at our initial site visit. We will also discuss

How we handle items outside of the scope of work when they come up.

Our systems, processes, and what you can expect as your project moves forward through every phase of construction.

   Budgeting & Design Agreement

Sign the Design/Build Agreement. This will permit us to go forward with creating and developing design options for you.

Arrange a time for our team to visit your home for a more in-depth investigation of conditions and to take more detailed measurements.

Schedule a meeting to review the revised and improved designs.

Arrange a time to select the materials for your project.

At our third meeting, we will:

Go over the revised designs and options we’ve developed for you, making any necessary corrections.

Present 3-D renderings’ of your project, if desired. These are available for an additional fee but they make it easier to visualize the final outcome.

Review any changes and the effect they might have on the budget.

Prior to the final meeting of the design process, we will:

Return to the site to do confirming measurements to ensure that all dimensions are still accurate

Have our production department review your plans to confirm build-a-bility (some issues may arise once walls are open)

Gather quotations from all vendors for the selected materials

Complete detailed specifications

  Final Conceptual Design

At this closing meeting, we will:

Review final floor plans

Review final specifications

Review final paint selections and material

Review final pricing

Have you sign a construction agreement which allows us to start the next phase of your project

   Post Design/ Pre-Construction

Before we begin the construction phase, we will:

Collect the 40% fee and your project will move to the architect.

Apply for the building permit (most municipalities take 4-5 weeks to approve the permit application. For large renovations permit application timeline may vary

Prepare the construction packet for your project manager.

Assign your project manager.

Schedule the pre-construction job conference.

Release purchase orders for any special order items.

Obtain permits and finalize construction schedule that we will use to complete your project in a timely manner.

   Pre-Construction Job Conference

At this meeting, we will:

Introduce you to your project manager.

Hold an on-site review of the project with your project manager.

Go through a series of standard questions relating to general housekeeping. This is to make sure that your household is safe and secure at all times during the construction phase.

   Construction Production

During construction, we will:

Update you on the construction that is being performed.

Update you on any schedule changes.

Meet with you to discuss any concerns or questions you may have while the construction is ongoing.

Update you on any changes to the project that might change the scope of the project and thus effect the cost.

Ensure that each phase of construction is completed to a high standard and with accuracy, using detailed checklists.

   Post Construction

After the completion of construction work, we will:

Deliver your warranty and information packet (If applicable)

Call you after 30 Days to see how you are enjoying the work we performed for you and see if there is anything we need to adjust.
